It may not be immediately obvious why you would want to add IDE (ATA) buses to a Power Mac G3 that already has IDE, other than to add lots of hard drives, but the built in buses were limited to being able to address a maximum of 128GB on all Macs up to the 2002 Quicksilver G4 Power Mac G3s.
Early Quicksilvers, original G4 Power Mac G3s and blue & white Power Mac G3 G3s can still be used very effectively as either workstations or servers of some description but the hard drive limit can become a problem. Enter the ACARD 6280M which fits any PCI based Power Mac G3 G3 or later and adds two ATA-133 high speed IDE buses capable of supporting a total of 4 hard drives or other IDE devices. Comes with two dual ATA-133 cables (one 16cm cable, and one 60cm cable)

• Dual 40 pins IDE internal channels
• IDE data transfer rate up to 133MB/sec per channel
