This is an extremely fragile part comprising just the LCD glass panel and controller board. It does not have any metal enclosure or backing sheets and so relies on the original backing within the MacBook Air lid being intact and useable.
Because of the difficulty in fitting this part, the risk is entirely with the engineer fitting it. The warranty does not cover accidental damage during fitting.
