Apple Key Caps

All 2018 and 2019 models of 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air use Type-Q keycaps featuring a 4th generation of 'Butterfly' clip. This clip type is NOT used on the late 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro. Click on the clip type below to view available keycaps.

Note: Butterfly clips are NOT included with keycaps but can be purchased separately.

Caution : Removing and refitting butterfly keycaps is more complex than earlier scissor clip designs. Replacing the butterfly clip can permanently damage the plastic mount on the keyboard rendering the keyboard useless.
